antique 20's doll with side glancing eyes, open mouth, matte bisque finish

Description

This little doll looks pretty alarmed about something.  Very stylized unusual face, probably a copy of a more famous name brand doll of the early 20's.  9" tall, with cloth hand made body and lovely antique mother of pearl carved buttons decorating the collar.  No id marks visible on the head.  These dolls came as just heads for the most part, with a pattern to make the body.  The body is in good physical shape, but has age related discolorations.  The finish is matte, and I can't tell if it is fired bisque or some kind of early composition material.  She has 2 tiny paint rubs, one on her forehead curl and one on the little duck tail on the back of her head.  Non smoking home, altho she has that age related tiny bit of musty smell to her body.
