Antique Vintage Nautical Ship Marine Boat Lantern Light Red Lens Maritime Decor

Estate Item: This old light came out of a estate of a gentleman that collected antique ship items. this piece measures aprox 13" tall and 12" across.  I am not a collector of maritime items, so not quite familiar with what this lamp once was. Most likely the plug and bulb was added at a later date. The plug is very old. This piece has a red lens, that has a chip on it, (see photo's) It has lots of paint peel, and a dent on the back. It is in working condition, however I would reccomend an updated plug for future safety. I can not make out the label on the lamp to determine the maker ( ___ ekav___ and Hand ..... ) is the letters that It looks like? Please see our many photo's provided for more details.
