    Description

    This auction is for an antique, The Water Light, the Res-Q-Lite, made by the Marine Torch Co., of Baltimore, MD. Additional embossed lettering on the light reads, "The devise meets in every way the requirements if the Board of Supervising Inspectors", and graphics picture the rail on a boat/ship with life ring and Res-Q-Lite attached by rope. Pre WWII. A nautical carbide lamp. Dated 1939 on the top. It measures approx. 8" by 5" in size. Comes with attached rope. The copper is discolored and there are dents on the sides. Great old piece of marine history for display at your cabin, vacation home, lake home, restaurant, boat, bar...occasionally one will wash ashore and be found on a beach, but overall, This light is a hard to find item.
