Description
The Harker Pottery Co., of East Liverpool, Ohio and later Chester, West Virginia, is commonly called the, "Oldest Pottery in America." It was started in a log cabin in 1840 by Benjamin Harker and remained on its original site for ninety-one years (it closed in 1972). This sugar bowl (no lid) is from Harker's "Cameoware" line of dinnerware, one of its most recognizable and well loved patterns of the late 1940's and early 1950's. This sugar bowl measures 3" tall, has a diameter of 3 7/8" across its widest mid area and has a diameter across the top opening of 2 7/8" (from white edge to white edge-see 7th photo). It's in excellent used condition with no chips or cracks, but it does have crazing all over and tiny are of missing blue color under glaze (see 4th photo- it's a manufacturing flaw).Note: This item will be ready to ship within one to two business days of receiving your order, and ship with USPS first class mail which includes tracking.
