    Description

    Please note:  This is NOT the original Icom part.
    The Icom IC-R3 can be operated on either  a rechargeable NiCd battery pack, or 3 standard AA batteries.   If you use the AA batteries, there is special insert that must be installed in the battery compartment.   I have lost my insert but wanted to run the receiver on the AA batteries, so after a little trial and error, I constructed this 3D-printed replacement.  It works perfectly in my IC-R3.   I don't  have access to an IC-R20, but I have received positive feedback from both R3 and R20 users reporting that it works for them.   In any case, your satisfaction is guaranteed as  I will refund all payments if it does not work properly in your radio.
