LARGE VINTAGE BARGE SHIP's LANTERN 1975 HEAVY ESOPUS KINGSTON
This is a large vintage ship's or barge lantern from the Esopus/Kingston area of New York. It measures 17.5" high x 10.5" wide and weighs 16 pounds. It has been restored and repainted black (not by me). The heavy glass globe has a chip on the edge as pictured. Not all the way through just roughness on the edge. It has its original burner and the bottom has not been painted (see pic).  It has heavy brass holders attached to it. Also a brass name plate AWARYJNA 1975 2849.  (Polish meaning - average clause) There were approx 4 companies that made these heavy ship lanterns. High quality made to withstand severe conditions.
