Description
The Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle is a French short to medium range twin jet engine airliner. It holds the distinction of being the world's first jet-powered airliner to be developed for the short to medium range market. It had its maiden flight on May 27, 1955. It was powered by Roll-Royce Avon turbojet engines. It is still in use today by various carriers.The Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle began uninterrupted jet service operation with Air France in 1960. This model with registration number F-BHRF was delivered to Air France on October 17, 1959. It flew for many years with Air France before it was finally retired.
This Model Power 1:250 scale die-cast Caravelle is a rare and very detailed reproduction of that aircraft. It comes with the landing gear down configuration and also comes with a display stand.
