Awesome looking little Perko brand brass nautical light with a sun purple fresenel glass globe, rewired and working. Approx 4 inches by 7 inches in size. This little maritime antique is in sturdy working condition with original patina. All cast brass with a hinged cover and wing nut for easy bulb changes. The fresnel glass globe has a slight purple color to it, which means this light was made before 1915 when manganese was eliminated from the glassmaking process. Perko was started around 1906, meaning this light is over a century old. Socket has been replaced with a ceramic standard socket for ordinary home use with regular bulbs, and I can also include the original socket from when this light was used on a ship in case the buyer finds it useful. The globe does have some chips and cracks but it is in sturdy condition and still serves it's function well. There are four brass pegs which hold the brass housing of this light together, and one of them has been replaced with a newly fabricated match which does not detract from the look of the fixture. Included with this light is a brass ring for easy ceiling hook installation, and the light also has conduit mounts on the top and side for additional mounting options. The side conduit mount has been covered with a small piece of brass as shown in pictures. This light has a great look and would work in a variety of spaces.
