The scanner itself its in great condition overall. Knobs are from a Pro-2006 but work the same.
Discriminator tap is in the rear for easy access to PC/Laptop.
OptoScan board installed, you can google to find software for it. I did not test the board myself.
In order to use the Discriminator feature you must use a PC with the proper software.
Simply hook up the front tap output from the
Pro-2042
using a 3.5mm audio cable
and hook it up to the
microphone in port
of your PC/Laptop.
Configure a few settings and you will be good to go.
Plenty of videos on Youtube on how to get this software up and running so you can get
this working properly to decode. Just simply search under
DSDplus.
