Vintage Brass PERKO Marine Lamp Wired Hinged Door Clear White Perkins Lens.

A rare find. Special. Original heavy metal (brass or bronze?) Mid 20th century (1940s?) Perko marine, navigation, ship, boat, bow lamp lantern light, white light with 180 degree clear glass Fresnel lens set in sturdy slide lock hinged door. Electric light fits in bottom of fixture. Very early model. Original provenance is not known to me.
The “PERKO” name in raised stamped letters on the center inside of the lamp housing. The light is in good original condition with a patina that only time and age can produce. This has lately been a decorative display piece and actual electric fixture will need to be re-wired if you wish to illuminate it. The fresnel lens is clear “white” and is marked as Perkins #8 Bow Fig 280.
Overall Measures 5 1/2” high, 5 1/2" wide, 2 1/2" front to back. Smooth contoured convex lamp roof.
