Vintage PERKO Newport Cabin Oil Lamp- Gimbal-Style Wall Mount -Size 2

Vintage brass oil lamp wi
th double swing wall mount bracket, both made by Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Corporation ("PERKO"). The lamp is weighted and made entirely of brass.  The lamp and wall mount are in good vintage condition, but they do show some wear from age and use.  The lamp has a Plume & Atwood Banner burner.  There is no chimney.  Please see the photos for details.
The height of the font is about 5.75" in height and has a diameter 4.25" at its widest point, and a diameter of 2.5" at its base. The burner adds 1.5" and measures 3.25" in diameter. The wall plate is 2.5" in diameter.  The double swing wall bracket and the lamp extends 6" from the wall. Total weight is just under 2 pounds and the capacity of the font is 1.25 pint.
The Newport Lamp was introduced by Perko in the late 1930s.  In its catalog, the company credited Sparkman & Stevens, famous yacht designers, for the lamp's construction.  It was described as a lamp "of a very sturdy construction, refined appearance and minimum practical extension from wall."  The lamp came in three sizes, Midget, 1, and 2.  The lamp in this listing is Size No. 2.
