Vintage "VIKING REGISTERED TRADEMARK" Brass Nautical Oil Lamp.
When obtained, the door was not attached.  I had it resoldered and attached. Other than that repair, the oil lamp has only been dusted and not cleaned.  So, it still shows the age. Research has shown that the "Viking Registered Tradmark" has elapsed as it is no longer on the USA government's web site. Trade Marks have to be maintained at a cost. There seems to be a tie between "Wedge" and the "Dietz Company" who made oil lamps.  There are no other marks on the oil lamp to help identify it further.  The glass panels are still in good shape.  The lamp measures 14 3/4 inches tall to the top of the handle.  The front measures 6 inches and the depth measure 6 1/4 inches.  It weighs 6 lbs 7 oz.  This is also referred to as a Railroad oil lamp.  In either case, the enclosed burner is protected from the wind.  Please see pictures for details and quality.
